As the years go by North-Korea has been building up its military force and occasionally had attempted acts of aggression against South-Korea. In contrast out youth who belong to the 14 to 20 age bracket, think that North-Korea is out brother country, so, we don't need to worry about whether they have a nuclear weapon or not. The youth even consider the USA as our real enemy. Every time I hear this kind of talk from research report or otherwise I, who finished military service, am concerned about their perspective. If I have a chance to tell them, I'd like to say this "Look brothers technically both the two Koreas are at war, so, I hope you would change your mind. so, we should never let our guard down.
Still I'd like to ask myloters if you think South-Korea should build up its military force too?

I would look at it this way. One of the Koreas has had nuclear weapons pointed at it for over 40 years. They have been without allies for almost as long. They have been marginalized in every world forum since the 1950s. And for what? A different political system. By allowing the US (who has made the decisions for South Korea since the 1950s) to keep tensions high and their military presence large, Korea is one of the remnants of the Cold War. I owuld suggest worrying more about reunifying your nation rather than keeping it divided.
