Cable fustrations

I was pricing around for different cable companies over the phone because I am really sick of paying almost 120 a month for both my tv and the internet. This one company representive really irked me to no end. I spelled out my street address and then he goes "ok I need you to spell it slower" I was like ok its still early maybe I'm talking too fast. So I spelled it slower for him. He goes "ok I have PAVDDard"I calmly said"no hun. Its goddard. G as in grandma, O like octopus, D as in Dog." He said "PoVd?" After litteraly 5 minutes of trying to spell G O D to this man I said "I am so sorry sir but if this is what your customer service is like I really don't have a need for your services".Then I hung up. Sorry to rant Soo early in the morning but it fustrated me sooo badly. Would anybody have done this differently?
