I must admit i spend a lot, Never thought bout the future. Recently i had an issue with my family. I lose all the money and they're all mad. I even left the house just to run away from the problem that i made.
How can I overcome this kind of attitude?

Hey, kcrysea. Long time no see. I am glad to see your new discussion today.
Anyway, since you admit that you spend a lot, it shows that you have realized that it is not a good habit, yeah?
Some people like to overspend money without thinking much about saving money for the future use in case it is needed.
You have every heard of the story about the squirrels?
They are small animals that store nuts in the summer and autumn seasons for the cold winter months when it is hard to find foods for them.
If all of us learn from the squirrels, we will not have to worry much about the money problem when we need to use in the urgent time.
Therefore I suggest that you spend your money in the right way and cut unnecessary buyings.
I am looking forward to your overcoming this kind of attitude of overspendng money.
I hope my response/suggestion might be of some help to you.

Hey, nice to see you again. I miss you a lot. You know why? When I first became a member on mylot, I often saw you active here. I was wondering how you had been doing. It is really nice to see you again and I am happy to see that you have realized that it is not a good habit to be expensive. Welcome back and hope to see you a lot here.

When I was younger, sometimes I couldn’t control spending money either. Because there were so many lovely and nice things to buy and I just felt like buying all of them. Occasionally, I would spend the future money. At the end, I end up overspent. After married, I learn how to organize my income. I will only spend 10% of the paid on clothes; cosmetic and haircut monthly. Another 20% for savings; the rest for the food; mortgage and other expenses.

Is it your own money? Me, as long as I'm spending my own hard earned money, I don't really mind. Sometimes I'll go on a spending spree until almost nothing's left on me that I'll have to struggle for the next week or two until my next salary comes. Sometimes I think about the future and how I'm not saving enough for it. But how am I to think of any future if I'm not even happy today because I don't want to spend this money I have... Think about it..., what will I do with all my money when I'm already old and cannot enjoy a lot of physical activities and cannot eat a lot of foods? I'd rather enjoy my youth now than spend my olden life regretting about the things I didn't do while I was young. Cheers! Happy Posting :)

The fact that you are aware of this problem is already a big step to addressing this issue on spending money. really, I understand how your family must have felt about you losing the moey you have. You understand their reaction, don't you? Now is the time to reflect on what you have done and make a firm resolve never to do it again, lest you will really lose your family. I guess that is reason enough for you to restrain yourself from overspending and losing everything. Everytime there is an urge, think of the consequences! You have to weigh things out, and I'm sure your family means so much to you. Praying for you....

I don't really have a problem like this, but I know of several people who do. It becomes so bad sometimes that it actually becomes an addiction. That person loses almost everything.I wish you the best of luck.
