Thanks for BR.
The savage thing is more widespread than that. I'm a Geordie and I noticed that when I went to Northampton with friends we were given a very wide berth. There were about 7 or 8 of us but we're not 'bad lads' or anything like that, groups of 10 or 15 lads bigger than us would literally cross the street! The only thing I could think was that the last geordies they seen must've been footie hooligans or something!

Pure loved your last comment!
I've been to Newcastle a 3 times in total and I seriously loved it to bits. It is such a fantastic city scenery wise with luvly bridges. When I was there, I noticed this as well that Newcastle people all walk in groups. I always thought it was a brilliant idea because you always end up having a great time just walking down the streets, while in Glasgow, you'd be called "a group of wee neds" if you do that.

I didn't realise that walking in groups was particular to us? I know that my city is famed for its nightlife, probably as it's so concentrated in a few small areas. Personally, I got bored of it when I was about 20 and really dislike going into town on a weekend night now (maybe I'm just getting old!!).
