I was hooked during the first season of the summer replacement show "Hell's Kitchen." I would like to know if anyone watches it and what you think of it. I think it's great. It's all about the amount of abuse these would-be restaurateurs (sp) will suffer in order to win an upscale restaurant. It's amazing what people will go through in order to get that big chance. Chef Ramsey is a real slave-driver, which is understandable. After all, his name is on the line also.

I never miss a show. This season has been kind of a let down. Nobody really stands out as being really good. I liked Melissa in the begging but now she is starting to bug me. I wanted her to go home tonight and I can't believe that Chef Ramsey gave her a second chance. Next week looks like it might be very interesting.

I like the black guy too and I feel bad because I can't remember his name. For some reason, I don't remember any of the guys names. I like Julia too. I can't believe how bad they treated her in the begining.

I have watched it occasionally. I sometimes think that Ramsey is a bit out of control at times. He really goes off the wall with screaming and swearing at the contestants. I realize that for ratings he can't sugarcoat it, but it nags at me.

I think that he's a big teddy bear inside, Elusive. He has to drive them like that though to get their best. I'm happy he's getting a regular show this fall. It should be interesting.

I remember seeing him on a show where a group of chefs gathered for a meal at a local restaurant. He was totally the opposite of what you see on his show. There have been moments when you see him wearing a different hat. For instance when he took the ladies on a fishing trip. He was laid-back and relaxed, friendly and jovial.

We have that show here in the uk but there is one really interesting point you made - you think Chef Gordon Ramsey is understandable? lol Even his fellow Scots would love to punch him when he starts on some of his rants - I am afraid I would have to answer him back! xxx

The black guy's name is Rock. He does seem to be the best of the lot as it stands.
I agree that Melissa was a front-runner, up until tonight's episode. Couldn't she get it through her head that she was being way too bossy and full of herself? I mean, how many tmes did Chef Ramsey have to tell her in his colorful ways? Can we say "Duh?!?!"
While I can't stand the thought of people spending so much money on hardly any food, while thousands go hungry each day, I do like to watch this show. It's the only reality tv show that I watch. It's fun seeing Chef Ramsey come up with new ways of humiliating people when they have done wrong! LOL
What gets me is this - the prize is the head chef at an exclusive resort restaurant. Why aren't the level of cooks and chefs coming into the competition much higher then they are now? I can go to the University of Phoenix Culinary school and find heck of a lot better cooks and chefs than what have been coming onto the show these seasons. Do the winners get more training behind the scenes before they offically take over their new restaurant? I just can't imagine ANY of the current season contestants running even a local family diner, much less an expensive resort restaurant!

Hi ertzinas. I just love this show! I have also been tempted to try and win the money, but I'm never at my computer when I watch the show.
