Horseshoe's anyone?? I love to play

Yes we have a horseshoe pit- Can't live in the country without one- I love to play- I'm not the greatest player but I sure it a try-
Tonight my daughter and I went out and played- she is 10. so we stepped 10 steps from the stake and shot from there- I'm trying to teach her the proper technique- but she gets so frustrated when her shoe doesn't fall into the pit-
Anyone else play?
Our pits have wood on all 4 sides- to keep the sand in- When I play my sig. other I won't let him count any points if he hits it off the wood- but mine count- OK-- I know it isn't fair- but he is alot better than me-

I love to play horseshoes but I haven't played in years. When we lived in NY (as a kid) everyone had a pit in their yard. But where I live now, I don't know a single person who has one. That is sad because I like to play very much. Have fun sharing that experience with your daughter.

yes my husband and I play from time to time. I had to get my brother's set. We also play a game called corn hole. It's bean bags being thrown in a hole. Anything outside we like to do to pass the time and relax.

In the last place I lived..we had a horse shoe pit out back. The kids like to play it. My husband was pretty good at it compared to me. But it was alot of fun to try and play it.

Oh!...that's really nice. Rich people are the only ones who can afford to make such kind of thing here in our country. Good for you and for your daughter.
