An accident which could have been fatal...

On the way home last Saturday, my sister and I passed by some hanging electric wires along the street. We noted that an electric post fell down and we commented that it would have been fatal if if fell on some people or vehicle. I said a little prayer then and thank God that nobody got hurt.
When we got home, my father told us that on their way home a post and some electric wires almost fell on them. He went earlier to pick-up my daughter from her gymnastics practice wherein he was accompanied by my 5-year old niece. So on the way home, the 3 of them almost met a fatal accident when the said post fell. The wires of the post fell on them and wrapped around the 3 of them that my father held the 2 children with him and run in the middle of the road heedless of all the coming vehicles. Thinking about it, I can't help but feel like crying. I can't help thinking how would I have lost them. The vehicles all stopped in the middle of highway but I can't help thinking if anyone would have dared to help my family when one of the wires got severed and electrocuted them in the middle of the road...my father, my niece and my daughter. I felt all cold all over and until now I still get such feeling and still can't get over it. I can't help saying a prayer over and over again and thanking God and our patron, the Little Child Jesus, for watching over my family and letting them go unharmed. I love my family very much and I feel so much pain thinking about what could have happened to them.
So again I say this little prayer; "Thank you very much Lord Jesus for watching over my family and for keeping them safe. In your care I commend them to you that they will never come to harm. Thank you, thank you, thank you for keeping them safe. To the world I proclaim your goodness and your protection to those who trusts in you."

im glad you family is okey! that's the power of prayer for you! your post take me back to my grade school years wherein my father, my brother and a cousin met a car accident. my dad was a school principal, he was 12 hours travel by ship and land away from us, but he always made sure he was with us on special occasion! it was my elementary graduation, dad made sure he'd be there so he set the graduation of his school two days before mine.well, we was not able to come in time for my graduation. as i was delivering my speech, my tears was non-stop flowing. i thought at that time it was because dad was not there. unknowingly, at that exact moment, dad, my cousin and my brother almost fell off the cliff, dad fell asleep while driving, from exhaustion, good thing though, he was driving slowly, as he always had, their fall was cut off by a mango tree. thank god to that tree! immediately after, peaole from the neighborhood rushed to them, and help pulled the car up. it was deep, more than 20 people helped them, dad was very grateful to those people that he gave away the puppies and some eggs they have with them. remembering those moment, dad said, gave him goosebups, it could have been fatal, if had not for that mango tree. i should mention that dad always carry with him an image of christ called THE EYE, he believe they were save because of that. wherever he goes, he would carry the image, even while sleeping, it was always beside him. when he pass away, it was the first thing that we thought of to in his resting place. if dad so much believe that christ save him many times when he was alive, we, too believe that believe that the image will guide him to heaven!....God bless!

I really cried reading your response. I scolded my daughter just that morning and I wasn't able to say 'I love you' to her when I brought her to her school because I was impatient and irritated by her. The incident made me realize that we should not let small things prevent us from expressing our love to our family. I do believe that God and his angels are watching over our loved ones and that things are not really as bad as it looks. Your father's faith is so great and I do believe too that it was what saved him. Faith do make a difference. It gave him comfort and confidence to face the world. I hope I could have the same faith.

Thank God, your family is okay. God is saying that she is with you and your family and will not let anything bad happen to any of you. Your family is a living testimony of how great our God is.
