Is Hindi similar to English? Is it difficult to learn?

It seems that lots of friends here speak Hindi, I'm a chinese, not familiar with it, is it easy to learn Hindi? is it similar to English? How many countries in the world speak Hindi?

nothing,dificult in the world if you think strongly that you should, yaa hindi is easy if you really want to learn hindi you found a good teacher of hindi who's
know pure hindi and also chines, and after some time
you may able speak and understand hindi, ok best of luck.

Hi,
Hindi is not similar to English but some words in English there is no word in Hindi and same is with English too. Words like switch board so on. Still Hindi is easy to learn if one is interested to learn that my mother language is Malayalam a language in South of India it is really difficult for other to learn. Still I also learned a bit of Hindi so as whenever I go to north part of India I use that.

Its quite different from English, but really a wonderful language.
