Do you Smoke Infront of your Parents ?

I've known few people that they're hiding while they smoke. They don't want their parents see them that they are smoking. Anf for them it's a respect.

No I could not dare to smoke in front of my parents. I would like to do some thing good in front of my parents to make them please. Smoking is not good habit.People hate the smokers. It is prohibited to smoke in public places. Home is not a public place it is a sacred place of our family sheltered by our guardians, our parents. we could not dare to do some thing wrong before them. It is not a fear it is respect which does not allow us to smoke in front of our parents.

No, I don't smoke infront of my Parents. I neither smoke infront nor behind my Parents. I amn't a smoker. I think that its respect that doesn't allow them to smoke infront of their Parents & i think that every smoker must have this habit.

Only an India could write like this hahahha. Well being a woman, no question of smoking or drinking but no, the men in my family do not smoke or drink in front of the elderly. Its our culture to show respect to them and we do it. But in many families I don’t see such restrictions and I don’t like it. I have seen mothers having a good drink with her son and his friends and when I expressed my shock, she said it was the modern way of bonding with adult children. And then I also see parents who go to parties or invite people and they all drink in front of the children. The children are given soft drinks while the adults enjoy hard drinks. I don’t think that should be done either.

I don't smoke either and never will. It is a bad habit that is hard to stop! I think it is mostly because we respect our parents. That is still part of our culture to respect and honor our parents.

I don't smoke in front of my parents because they don't know I smoke. They don't mind that I smoke pot although I have never smoked it in front of them, I probably would though. I can drink in front of them, and they are pretty laid back. The reason I don't smoke in front of them is because I think me not smoking is one of the only things they are proud of me for (especially my dad). They both smoke and when they come to visit I play it up and make them smoke outside. I feel kind of bad about it, but not really haha My parents are pretty cool, I'm sure they wouldn't even care that much if I smoked.
