Hello All, Just had to share my excitement with you all. I have a NEW computer. It's the first time in my life that I have had a brand spanking new computer. I'm sooo impressed. I built it myself. It's pretty ironic that it's the first time I've ever had a new computer really, since I used to build computers for a living. I've always been given them or bought second hand ones due to limited resources. It's also the first time I've bought a computer for myself. All I had were a few windows teething problems. Or rather a blue screen of death when I started it up but all I had to do was repair windows because of course windows had lost most of the hardware it was used to working with. Anyway, I'm back and not so impatient anymore :) I had a slow Pentium 2 before which was totally maxed out with all the things I expected it to do. Now I have a Dual-Core AMD Athlon X2. I'm still on dial-up internet of course so waiting for the net is slow but at least when I try to open a program I don't have to wait 5 mins for it. Cyas, Tanika.

oh wow congratulations, how exciting it is to get a new computer, it is great getting anything new but I must admit it does sound strange that you built computers and now just getting your own new one, I would imagine you would be first in getting anything like a friend of mine who builds computers...have fun with your new baby...

Yeah I know it is weird, I suppose that although I used to build them for I living, I never really LIKED them like alot of computer people.. I had other priorities for my money..

Wow Tanika - I'm impressed! I'm not in the slightest bit technical when it comes to computers - if anything goes wrong with mine I'm straight on the phone to a HelpDesk, as I realy don't have the first clue about them! So I am extremely impressed with your efforts. Well done!

Hi Tanika! Well, upgrading from a Pentium 2 to a Athlon X2 it's a big jump in performance. Congratulations for the new computer and I hope you enjoy it By the way try to upgrade your internet to ADSL, if possible. Bye, The_Silph
