Have you ever lost a big amount of money in your entire life? How much?

Have you ever had an experiense of losing money ( not just money, a big money) in your entire life? So how much? And for what use was the money? Is it for your tuition fee? for electric bill? for hospital expense? How did you feel and what did you do? How does it happen?
Luckily, I don't have yet the experience of losing a large amount of money that's why I'm asking you guys to share your experiences. I want to know how it feels. Cause im putting myself into it, and I don't know what im gonna do.. maybe i'll just cry out loud.. :(

Hi there. Yes when I was younger, like 17 years old, I had big plans to go shopping in the city, where my dad lived. I called up a taxi cab from my dad house and was picked up and dropped off in the town center, I got out of the cab and my wallet must've fallen out of my handbag which was open. I go to buy a drink and hello no wallet no money. So I re-traced my steps and thought, its gotta be in the taxi cab, I go to a public library and borrow a phone, I ring the taxi cab office and that same drivers there and hasnt seen a thing, I had lost over $800, I felt so sick and to this day I think that cab guy pocketed it... But I had no proof
