writing a letter

I would like to ask for a financial help to my collage. To apply for it I need to write a letter to support my application. Although, I am in a financial difficulty and
entitled to get this money, I find letter writing very difficult especially I find it diffucult to ask for money. Do you have difficulty asking for money and find writing letters diffucult?

I do not find it difficult to write letters but I do find it awfully difficult to request people for money. That is always something so sensitive and one has to be very diplomatic as well.
