I think that these 2 web RPGs are great, Theyy're really fun and very cool, i probably sound childish to some people but actually alot adults also play this game as well.
They're free unless you want to pay once in a lifetime fee to unlock all the benfits of the game, but my god even if you don't pay they are soooooo cool,
i just want to know who else here has or does still play any of these, and if you don't why don't you guys check it out the adressess are:
Adventure Quest: www.battleon.com
Dragonfable: www.dragonfable.com
These games are perfect if someone wants to wind down, or just have fun
Please guys tell me what you think :)

Personally, i think both these games are pretty basic compared to some other massive multi-player online role playing games such as dream of mirror or even Shaiya. The graphics of adventure quest are very weak and don't provide much action. Its usually just basic animations. Dragon fable is a lot more graphic satisfying but there war events are pretty tiring. You have to continue to attack dozens of monsters and only be awarded with 1 war token. Besides both these games have little fun content for people who are unable to pay for benefits.

I will have to disagree with you there on quite a few points. Would you rather have a game with basic graphics, which looks alright (quite good in some cases) or have a game which tries to look good, but is so good that you cannot distinguish between it and real life and get really addicted. Besides, neither Dragonfable nor AdventureQuest are massively multiplayer online Role playing games, they are simply online single player role playing games, and if you dislike them just for not having other players in (who are often obnoxious and ruin your playing of the game) then that is a major problem of yours. The wars are not 'pretty tiring', but, if you have been paying any attention to the storyline whatsoever, should be very important parts of the plot, and things you would want to partake in more, not less.
In many games, you cannot even play without paying, so being able to play without having to pay is a bonus, and if you wish to support them, you can pay a small sum (it is more of a lump sum than some RPG's, but you only have to pay once, it is not a monthly recurring fee).

This game is too tedious for me. Have you seen how when you attack all the animations repeat over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again when you attack? Besides it's 2D, so the graphics aren't that good compared to other games like Angels Online

Runescape is a bit too tedious for me and the animation always repeats when you mine, fish etc

I personally prefer Adventure Quest to DragonFable or MechQuest (I've played them both.) To me, leveling in both is slow and irritating. Sure, there may be plenty of quests to do, but I'm the type that enjoys random encounters rather than being able to see my enemy before I kill it. I used to spend hours upon hours playing AQ, but I haven't been able to play either DF or MQ for more than a few hours at a time.
I have never been one to care too much about graphics, so the graphics of these games affect me little. I personally find it to be awesome when the occasional epic spell is cast, and the screen becomes home to a large beam of light.
The battle mode in Adventure Quest is also enjoyable. There are few attacks that I know of that take away from the usual rhythm of You -- Guest -- Pet -- Mob. Because you can always predict who will attack next, it makes the gameplay that much easier to understand. Rather than wonder if you'll be able to attack the monster before you die, you'll know that your monster will have a turn before you do, so you should probably heal up.
Of course, this is coming from the mouth of a bored and crazed gamer, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Have you started playing MechQuest? It is finally released and those who pre-registered can play it now and I am pretty sure that even if you did not pre-register you can still play. It is made by the same people and is fun as well!

I have been playing AQ for 3 years and am proud to say that I am a lvl 87 guardian with uber sets. A very frustrating game, because you cannot play when the server is full unless you pay for guardianship.
