I think that I have discovered this long before. I often read through some discussions that are as simple as one or two sentences with lots of responses. To me, it is the same. I mean if I see a very long one, then my interest in reading the topic is lessened. Maybe it is a good idea to have a short one leaving more space for the responders to think about.
