Identify your Personality with a Song!

Which song describes your personality the best and why did you choose that particular song.
My husband chose 'Spanish Train' by Chris de Burg. When I asked him why he chose that particular song his response was "Because it works for me!" He elaborated later and said he will negotiate everything in life! My response was, that he was spot on because he has the ability to convince you the moon was really made out of cheese! Even God will have a negotiating and convincing session with him!
I haven't decided yet on a song but the minute I do I will let you guys know! hie hie I know this is not fair, but this is my discussion ye!

A song might not identify your personality perfectly. We listen to songs according to our mood. But our personality is not a thing that we change anytime we want.A song might identify the thoughts and quality of a person individually, but not personality as a whole.

Oh goodness Annie. This is one I simply
can't pin down. I have been and always
will be a free spirit and so many songs
and classical pieces fit into the picture.
I wish I could say more but at the moment
I'm stumped. Perhaps I'll respond again at
a future date. lol

I'm with you there, my husband jumped this one on me, out of the blue, after he had the whole day to come up with his song. Because I have so many, that can relate to my personality, it will take me some time, to come up with the 'right' one:) See you back later!

I'll give you two to start with.
Desperado by the Eagles. It
appeals those who are carefree
and may live to regret it in the
long run.
&
O Fortuna which is part of
Carmina Burana by Carl Orff.
Get the lyrics in English.
It's very dark and somber
despite the power of the
chorus.

Hi Annie, very nice post.
It is not easy 2 find a song that is exactly you but you can find something close in some way...
The song: SORROW
The band: PINK FLOYD
The lyrics as follows:
The sweet smell of a great sorrow lies over the land
Plumes of smoke rise and merge into the leaden sky
A man lies and dreams of green fields and rivers
But awakes 2 the morning with no reason for waking
He's haunted by the memory of a lost paradise
In his youth or dream, he can't be precise
He's chained forever to a world that's departed
It's not enough it's not enough
His blood has frozen and curdled with fright
His knees have trembled and given away in the night
His hand is weakened by the moment of truth
His step has faltered
One world, one soul, time pass, the river rolls
it's not enough it's not enough, his hand has faltered
And he talks to the river of lost love and dedication
And silent replies that swirl invitation
Flow dark and troubled to an oily sea
And grim intimation of what is to be
There's unceizing wind that blows thru' this nite
And there's dust in my eyes that blinds my sight
And silence that speaks so much louder than words
Of promises broken

Hi Annie
That entire album named 'A Momentary Lapse of Reason' is great. I so much loved each and every song of it, my favourites from that album are: (Sorrow-On the turning away-One slip) also I like the others. You're right, so often you encounter such a good lyrics and music.
By the way the Live version of Sorrow and On The Turning Away, are worth listening 2, it is on their other album ' Delicate Sound Of Thunder' I have a video tape of that concert I just love every minute of it xxx

The song I identify with most in a certain part of my life, not all of it, is I'm too sexy by Right Said Fred. I choose this song because I really do think I am sexy (terrible, aren't I?). It is not that I have a beautiful body. Although, I have been told that I do have some very sexy physical qualities, but it is my mind...the way I think.

Hie hie OMG you sound just like Michelle! This is uncanny! She always tells me her eyes are the prettiest in the world, and her boobies the sexiest! When I tell her not to be so vain, she always says "you can't ignore facts and the truth mommy!" Ok from now on whenever I hear that song it will remind me of you! xx

Well it really depends on what I feel on that certain moment, because I love music, I do love expressing my feelings or personality through songs!;)
Right now I feel very happy and lively, so my song for the moment is, "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC. I love the music in general, from the tune and the lyrics.

I love one Enrique's song : "Hero". This nice song makes me miss my Hero so much :" .
This is a part of its lyrics:
Would you dance if I asked you to dance?
Would you run and never look back
Would you cry if you saw me crying
Would you save my soul tonight?
...
I can be you hero baby
I can kiss away the pain
I will stand by you forever
You can take my breath away
I have another song that I love a lot . A Korean song named "One". A phrase that I like most in its lyrics : " I pray for this love to be true..."

A song entitled "SAY THAT YOU LOVE ME". It reflects to me because i've been waiting for someone to say that word. I am a great lover but i guess love does comes to me all along. Right now, im still hoping and praying that someday or somehow someone will say that..:)

Oh I hear you, so I took the liberty to add this here for you; 'You can't hurry love' by Phil Collins.
How many heartaches must I stand
Before I find the love to let me live again
Right now the only thing that keeps me hanging on
When I feel my strength, ooh, its almost gone
I remember mama said
You cant hurry love
No you'll just have to wait
She said love don't come easy
Its a game of give and take
How long must I wait
How muck more must I take
Before loneliness
Will cause my heart, heart to break
No, I cant bear to live my life alone
I grow impatient for a love to call my own
But when I feel that i, I cant go on
Well these precious words keep me hanging on

My choice of song is the ones that have slow beats or sentimental ones. I think I am a romantic person! Lol... but sometimes I do like stronger songs, but not hard rock.

At first glance, I thought this was an easy discussion...but the more I thought about it, the harder it was to narrow down a single song! There are so many facets to the human personality...so I couldn't choose. Here is the one that can sum most of it up, though.
Best of You - Foo Fighters ---- Most people feel that this song is about someone's feelings about another, their interactions and whathaveyou...when I hear it, I am reminded of myself, and the internal conflict I have gone through over the years while trying to be okay with who I am.
Thanks for the great discussion!

Yup I am just as guilty, I had to come back after the help of some of my friends here to get the juices flowing and once it started, it was difficult to just stick to one song! I suppose the days where the lyrics meant the same to everyone are gone for good, the 'new' song writers can put lyrics together that no matter who you are, or what gender you can make it work for whatever happened in your personal life. Gone are the days especially in the sixties where a song would be about a boyfriend saying goodbye to his girlfriend. OH I got carried away! I hope I made sense to you!

Gods, that is a hard one! Thinking thinking thinking.......
I have several different personas so not one would nail me. The music to The Legends of Xanadu (Dave Dee, Dozy, Becky, Mick and Tich) is full of passion, and makes me want to get on a horse and charge with sword in hand - hahaha.
I will think more on this..........

Not a bad one! I can see you with your bottled 'horse' perfume, on horse back, sword in hand charging at full gallop or what is it when horses go fast! Lol! Yes come back I have the same multiple personality disorder, and are having trouble pinning just one down!
