Beautiful big houses

My wife and I were driving through a really nice town the other day and noticing the beautiful big houses there. I made the observation that most people aspire to have a beautiful big house, but the only people who can afford them are the type of people who live in the office and love their work. Isn't it strange that the 'homemaker' types who would just love to really make the most of a beautiful big house are typically the last people who could ever afford to buy one?!

Life just is not fair. I have noticed that so many people build a house around here and within 6 months it is up for sale. I often wonder how they afforded to build it in the first place. Houseing is eating up the country side and it sure would be great if people would buy from what is available first. Let us hope that sometime in our lifetims that things become a little more equitable.

There are tons of people doing that here too. It works out to be a great investment because you can usually make a real killing. As you say though, it's a shame that people take up countryside to do it with. There are plenty of 'brown-field' sites that could be effectively used for great developments, but the local government here are very pedantic with 'planning permission' (consent to contruct or alter buildings).

Well Rhino yes they are nice but I have to admit that I would not like a big House as it would take forever on the Cleaning lol so average is just right for me

You have a good point, a person could spend all their time keeping a huge house clean. I think I would rather have a nice roomy farmhouse with a few acres outside to play in!
