Promise after the rain - The Rainbow

Double Rainbow - This reminded me that God's promises are there and they don't expire!

Here in Okie land, we have had a lot of rain. Daily too! I know we have been fortunate enough not to have been flooded out real bad like some parts of Texas and other states. I thank God for that but I am so tired of the rain. I think all this daily hard showers also have played a part in my getting sick too. Everything is so moist and because of it, there are more bugs than ever and I mean bugs, like crickets, bees, red wasps, slugs and spiders! And since they are thriving so well, I am sure that viruses are thriving too. I actually miss those scorching hot, dry weather days!So last Saturday, it hadn't rained much at all most of the day but by 7 pm, it was lightly raining and out popped a rainbow! Not just one rainbow but a double rainbow! It was beautiful and I grabbed my camera and took a few snaps. I was hoping the faded one above the bright one would show up. I was so please to see that it had. This also reminded me of God's promise to Noah, that He would never again flood the whole earth, although parts of it still get flooded. We can still believe in God's promises and know that He is good for them too! Just think of it when you see a rainbow.

I know. Hey My front yard finally dried out. We have missed the last several thunderstorms. Sunday, it stormed in Little Rock. When we came out of church, it was pouring and thundering and lightening. When we got home to Hot Springs, it was hot and everything was dry as a bone.

I'm so sorry! But some of that MUD is also from Arkansas too! The area north of us (Tulsa) has been horribly flooded. I guess I can be thankful that it didn't get that bad in my yard!

I love to see a rainbow in the sky after it rains. One day, as we were driving through a rainstorm, my son, who was about 12 at the time, got really excited. I looked to where he was pointing, and out over the lake was a rainbow and below that, was the mirror image of itself. I've never seen anything like that before in my life, and was so upset that I didn't have my camera!

We always try to gave at least one in the car with us at all time now. Simply because of missed opportunities when we've run into someone that we've not seen in years or see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, or a particularly awesome looking thunderhead.
