Do you have days that your spend extra time on your job..so much so you dream about it? If so are the dream realistic or completely off the wall?

There are times when I was too busy and preoccupied with my work that I even dream about it. Some are realistic, as if it was a continuation of the scene from the office. But there are times also that my dreams are completely off the wall. Like one time we are cramming over some works that are nearly due that we have to work overtime, as in we never left the office for almost a week. Then when I finally went home and sleep on my own bed, I had dreamt that we were back in the office, but this time the office was turned into a bedroom for our boss!hahaha! I can still remember seeing her in her night gown in my sleep, while me and my other officemates are typing awy on our computers! Although there are some hilarious dreams about my work, I prefer that I dream about other things coz everytime I dreamt of working I woke up tired and drain, you know.

Sounds like you put alot of time into your job and I can imagine if you dream about it when you wake up you think you have already be there..I sure wouldn't want to dream all night about work..It would make it hard getting to it the next morning;)+

Hi mimatexas, Did you love the place you use to work at? Are the dreams realistic or quite imaginary?:)+|

Yes, I loved my job a lot. The bad thing is I had to quit due to illness and I am still under doctor's care. The dreams I have are too realistic that I wonder if I am really working or not.

It's funny, but when I worked it was very strange that I had dreams about my job. However, in the last few months, after I retired, it's been quite common for me to dream I'm working at my job place but, at the same time, vaguely knowing I should not be there because of having already retired.

You know..you must have loved your work if you still dream about it even now that you are retired. They say the hardest thing about retirement is not being able to go to worK;)+

I have dreamed about my current job in my sleep as well as previous jobs in my sleep. All my dreams about my past and current job have been good ones so that is a good thing. Sometimes I do miss my old job though I know things were not great there. I will probably be dreaming tonight about my current job since I will be working alone with the students since my other two coworkers are off tomorrow. My dreams are usually realistic. :-)

Ken what kind of other job did you have..? When did you leave the last job..what made it not so good to work there? You have 3 people who teach the students..Is this throughout the day that you take turns teaching..How is it the 3 teachers teach one class? Do you know lots about computers..? +

I don't think there is anything wrong with this. In fact, I think most people dream about their job in their sleep too. :( Part of work stress perhaps. Or they are just brainstorming for solutions to problems met during work.

Years ago I had a dream that I was working in a laboratory all night long. When I woke up I was exhausted and I felt like I worked all night so I called in sick because I was so exhausted from working all night long in my sleep.

I dream about my job a lot. I'm a lawyer, so usually I'll have dreams about being in court and the judge yelling at me. Or I'll dream about some of my clients. My dreams about work are pretty close to real life, sadly, because the judge does yell, and so do the clients. I would prefer to get away from work completely when I'm not there, but sometimes my dreams won't let me.
