Good news, there has been new invention of being able to erase memories that traumatise the individual. isn't it wonderful? that certainly would improve life to people who are depressed by such bad memories that their lifes are never worth making any meaningful things on earth.
The question is can any ordinary afford it? what is your view about this new invention?

Hello fredgame!
I think that the invention should never have been invented! How can they erase any memory, when it our memories that takes us back to any point in our lives!
We have all been through rough times and it is never easy to forget things that hurt us, but then most times those things are what shapes us into the people we are today.
It is through the hurt and pain that we have experienced that has helped us learn the means of forgiveness Why anyone would want to give that up, I really don’t know, but I wouldn’t!

It could be good to forgot all the bad memories but I really have no idea what will the result be? How can we select memories to erase? Which part of the brain keeps the bad memories? I really don't know about this but it sounds dangerous as well. Maybe depression can be healed by other methods, but not from this one. Memories are what makes us today and life has its own way to deal with things.:)

No. I dont think its good news. Memories like everything else in your body form who you are. The good and the bad alike contribute to your personality. Erasing your memory through a pill would be like allowing your privacy to be seen by those who shouldnt
