Do you bless on a sneeze?

When you hear someone sneeze, do you automatically say "bless you" or "God bless you"? I's automatic for me. And do you get offended when you sneeze and no one blesses you? I'm not sure, but I think the reason it all started is because your heart stops when you sneeze or you quit breathing or something and you are blessed to still be alive. I heard that a long time ago, never knew if it was true. So do you "bless" others after a sneeze?

Sometimes I do say it, sometimes not. When I sneeze, I do not expect someone to say it, but I do say "excuse me" when I sneeze. For me, its part of common courtesy.

I heard that it was because people believed a long time ago that when you sneezed it let evil things out of you. That's why they said bless you. I don't know if that's true though. I do say bless you most of the time. Sometimes I forget but mostly I do.

Yes, I always bless people that sneeze. It doesn't matter if I'm in a store, on the street, at the doctors or wherever. I always bless them. If I sneeze and someone doesn't bless me, that doesn't bother me. What does bother me is when I bless someone and they don't bother to say thank you. For some reason that erks my nerves.
