Ive been trying to be a musician for a long time but there are many factors that keep my band from improving. One is time, not everyone has the time to learn songs. Commitment issues, Relationship issues, ect.. Can other musicians and non musicians alike give me your views and experiences on the music lifestlye and how you made it or are still struggling.

My husband is in a band. He finds that if his band mates aren't practicing then they can no longer be in the band. They only get together once a week so they must practice on their own. If they don't know the songs, they can't play. He also finds people that are somewhat similiar to his circumstances. His drummer has a wife and daughter so he understands the need for family time. His bassist is single and has no kids, but he understands the need. So it helps when your band mates understand and take the time out to practice on their own.
