I would go for Richard Clayderman anytime. When I feel like being alone, I would just pop his cd and then just relax and do nothing. His music calms my nerves.

I agree with the respond above. I really think Richard and Maksim are very wonderful pianists and I am a fan of Maksim. They are very amazing pianists of modern music and very famous and popular nowadays. But if you say"the best pianist of all times", comparing with all the pianists both in old days and now, I have to say, Chopin and Beethoven ect. are greater.

Clayderman? Well, it makes me smile a bit. He is good, ok, but calling him "the best pianist of all times" is a bit silly in my opinion.
Personally I think Liszt will always be the best pianist ever existed. He revolutionized the piano technique and wrote the hardest (and most beautiful in my opinion) piano pieces ever.
