i came here in canada under the live-in caregiver program which is only a temporary worker, but i am not lucky to have a good employer, they treated me bad, no food, i only eat cookies for the whole week, all the conditions written in the contract is contradicts of the actual situation.

I am not a professional that knows the ins and outs of immigration but I still had to post. My heart just breaks for you having put your hopes in being in Canada and all you've had is suffering. I hope you can work something out to get another employer who treats you with consideration, kindness and respect. No one deserves to be treated this way by anyone not just an employer. Try to connect with someone who can help you possibly...immigration??? and tell them the situation. Do what you can to get out...you deserve better than this

i quitted the job already since she asked me to find the dog with the pouring rain very early in the morning 5:00 a.m., that was the second time their dog escaped the first time was during winter and i almost frozen, looking for the dog without jacket, shoes or winter suit. The same day their hamsters also scaped so i have to find it too. that day i quit the job.

i also went to the labor complaining about my situation but they close my case because of my lawyer. She promised me not to worry and she will be the one to follow-up such case but she never did.

Oh bhelle, I am verry sorry to hear about this.Nobody should mistreat any human being this way. They had a contract with you, and they did not keep up their end of the bargain, they are treating you very much like a slave!!You should contact somebody and turn them in, immigration, the care-giver program or even hire a lawyer and sue these people. I hope that these living conditions have not made you ill, and that you will be able to return home.Good luck and God Bless.

i submit a complain to the department of labor but they closed my case after i hired a lawyer, because my lawyer did'nt do nothing, she did not even follow-up my case and she let my work permit expired too. everything become worst because at that time i am pregnant and about to give birth, my medicare card was also expired, and so i have to pay everything...i really dont know why all those problems occured everything at the same time.
thanks for your response, have a nice day

at first i only told to my brother in Philippines about my situation, but it's very hard to keep since everybody can see that i am not in good condition because i become skinny, i weight 90lbs when i come to canada but since i work in that employer my weights become 72lbs. my boyfriend always ask what is going on with me. i am sicky too. so i told him the truth, and now i am not working there anymore...thanks for being good to me too.
