Days of our Lives Favorites Return to Salem!
Time for some soap dish from NBC's Days of our Lives.
• Frances Reid — aka Grandma Alice Horton — returns to your TV screens this week after a long absence that had her fans worried. Watch for the beloved 93-year-old soap veteran at Bo and Hope's Fourth of July barbeque. Here's a lil' sneak peek photo of Alice and Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) celebrating the holiday Horton style.
• Also on July 4, daytime newcomer Denise Boutte joins Days as Jett Carver's sexy fiancée, Danielle.
• Fan faves Alison Sweeney (Sami) and James Scott (EJ) have now taken on dual roles. Look for them to start playing Colleen Brady and Santo DiMera on Monday, July 9. This ought to please all of you "EJami" fans who have been mailing me postcards in support of a Sweeney-Scott coupling for months!• Happily, Thaao Penghlis (Tony DiMera) has also gone back to playing dual roles. Look for Tony's troublesome look-alike cousin, Andre, to resurface in Salem on Tuesday, July 17. Wow! That sure brings back memories, doesn't it?

oh wow double trouble coming our way with all the doouble rolls that are being played! and I sure didnt know Alice was 93 knew she had been in movies and tv for about 50 years or more fo rshe played in old westerns the black and white ones she was so young!

I think it's going to be great to see Sami and EJ playing double roles....yes,Alice is 93 and she has played in many movies and shows....

Thanks so much for the info.!! I am not sure if I like all the "old" people coming back though...I kinda like things the way they are =) But of course they have to change and make things exciting every now and then! I just love Sami so I can't wait to see her in another role!!

This should be pretty interesting. I just hope they don't fill up the whole show, going back in time. They need to keep things happening.

To me it is great to see Alice back on the show. The family was really happy to have her for the 4th of July. To me it seems like Sami and EJ are going to get together and be one happy family. But how bad is it going to affect the Bradys when they found out that one of their family member killed Colleen. To me it was a great thing that Danielle joined the show but to me it is not great what she is doing on Jett Carver. I think that Chelsea should tell Jett what is going on because even though Jett is telling Nick that he has the feeling of her cheating that he should be told the truth. But are the difference really going to stop with the DiMera and the Brady?

I did see Alice on the show. I was not really watching and heard Bo say Mrs.H. I was like oh wow shes back Alice is back on the show. And what Sami and EJ playing dual roles how weird is that?

Wow-- I guess so- Sami and EJ playing 2 roles- I wish that Sami would leave EJ alone- I'm not crazy over that storyline- but it is a BIG one and it ties it in together a bit- I can't wait to see Grandma Alice again- It's been a while- 93 wow-- I wonder how much longer she will be making guest appearances.

Awesome I was wondering when the whole Colleen and Santo thing was going to get underway. As far as the whole Tony and Andre thing, i was wondering if the man already there in the mansion is Andre instead of Tony. Something just dont seem right to me with how Tony has been acting lately dont seem like him too much. I watched yesterday and it was really great to see Alice on there. It kinna made me cry LOL. Well thanks again for the info cant wait to watch.
