Do you mind it when someone didn't give you the best response?

If sometimes you think you deserve to have the best response, but finally it is given to someone else. Will you think it's unfair? And will you mind it? Or will you don't want to reply to this person's discussions later? I don't mind it very much. As people all have different opinions. I just hope the best response can be marked fairly.

i never think i deserve the best answer, evey time i got it,it was a surprise for me,and i will be happy for a long while.but if i didn't get the BR,i will be as usual. i think myself is not very fair actually,i like to give BRs to my friends,of course,if someone's answer is pretty good,i will give it to him/her no matter he/she is my friend or not.

Come on, don't think so. I remember you replied to some of my discussions and I thought I gave you the best response because you really did a good job to share your views:)

I don't really mind. I believe people have the right to choose whoever they think deemed deserving for the best response award. Though the feeling is quite fulfilling if you find out that a person voted you. I have had my share of expressing myself so much and was hoping to get the best response, and yet it wasn't given to me. It doesn't affect me at all. I still reply to the posts and do the best I can to express my ideas. I still do my best even if the best response has already been chosen. It's fun to be allowed to speak. Yet alone win something for it. But the best part is that we gain friends by being ourselves here in myLot, not to mention the small amount we gain for participating. =)

I appreciate your this spirit. In fact I also reply to the discussions although I won't get the best response. Even if the best response is available, I still like to share my point of view.

Yeah, that's the main point why we are here at myLot isn't it? I mean, does anyone get a bigger pay if he/she has the best response? I don't think so. =) It's good that you don't expect to get the best response. Because if you do, it's the best feeling ever! Anyways, thanks for you reply and hope soon we can have our own share of best responses.=) Take care. Happy Posting!

I also don't like that some people don't give the best response. It's not important that he doesn't give it to me, but at least he should choose one best response. Maybe he will think it'll annoy some people since they think he chose a bad reply. However, if he doesn't select at all, it'll much more annoying.

Even if I think that I deserve the Best Response Award and I do not earn it, I won't think it's unfair. After all, every single time that we respond to a discussion, we will all pass through a judgement. The judge (the creator of the discussion) will define if I deserve the Best Response Award or not, and I gladly accept any decision taken by him.

when i respond to a discussion, i do so just to express myself, share my thoughts, and maybe brighten someones else's day. i really do not care if the best response is not given to me. i respect the opinion of the one who started the topic.

I would mind if i did not get the best response if i thought i deserved it, of course i will, but DEFINITELY would not think it is unfair because obviously, in the reader's mind, my response was not as "perfect" as the other one or not as informative. It is true that everyone has a different opinion and that is why i would not be angry, but i would not be as happy. There really is no way the best response can be marked "fairly" for this reason, there is no marking criteria so it is very difficult to decide which one to choose and which one is the "right decision". It is up to the discussion starter to decide..... :) mini

Frankly, please don't feel unhappy if I don't mark you the best response. I will wait for a few days to judge it. Your response is great, like others. I hope Mylot will allow me to mark three best response:)

Hahaha, i am glad you liked my response.... I find that most people here on myLot try too hard to make their response sound good so that everyone will like it, even if it means that they are "faking" their emotions, but i find that talking about what i truly feels allows a more enjoyable experience here on myLot, is it not what the site is all about? expressing YOUR opinion, and not what you think other people would like to hear? Do you find that sometimes people lie about their emotions here on myLot just so that they can have people agreeing with them?

For me, It depends. I have seen where someone started a discussion, & when a certain friend responded a few minutes later, that discussion was given the best response. I have also seen it where some idiot gives a best response in just a matter of an hour or so, instead of giving people a chance to find the discussion to reply to. Discussions like that, I tend to just pass by. If the best response was indeed a good response, I can respect that, whether it's mine or someone else's response. I mean, if it looked like the response took effort to write up.

I agree with you. It's not possible to decide which is the best response in such a short time. It's very unfair.

I dun mind. I just gave my opinion and it doesnt matter if they didnt gave me the best response. It all depend on the discussion owner. I dun mind. :) Just mark the best response fairly and rationally.

not at all. whenever i reply, i try my best to give hte best answer that i could. but there are some instances when the thread starter prefer someone else's reply or s/he can relate more on how it was stated. i think getting the best response is just a bonu point but giving a best response to a thread is better :)

I don't mind that much. But if my best friends didn't reply me I would feel quite sad. That's on my own blog. Here....now I replied few discussions. Hence, I don't mind too much about responses here

Please don't feel sad if your best friend don't give you the best response. It has to be fair. Otherwise others will feel sad.

I've been blessed to have gotten some of my responses marked 'best response', but my intention when I post is not about that. I write from my heart and if that touches someone enough to either give me a good rating or a best response then I feel blessed. I would hope that if anyone just walks away gaining anything from what I've written then that's enough for me. As for varying opinions, it's one of the things I love about Mylot. If we all thought the same thing, then we would have nothing to discuss.

I don't mind it at all! I am just happy and lucky enough if someone picks me as the best response. But I won't be mad or anything if someone doesn't mark me as the best response. Different people have different opinions and I really respect that. And that won't affect me on replying to the host's other discussions because it's the interesting level of the discussions matter. And besides, I respond to those discussions which sometimes the best response is marked already, so I wasn't really "qualified" for the comparison because I reply late.

I dont mind if i did not deserve for the best response because i just want to share whats in my mind. I love to let them know what i think for that discussions. If he/she will give the best response to others not me i am not hurt. Thats their choice to do such thing.

No it doesn't bother me. I know sometimes people mark best response of their friends or to repay them for marking their responses as best. I would like it to be fair but sometimes it isn't. Plus I know my responses aren't always best.

how can you demand a best response can be marked fairly as you said we have different opinions? if your opinion is different from the other mylot member even for you your response was so cool still she/he will not marked it because his opinion differs from you. sometimes when i browse into my best responses i am really shocked specially when i read the others response. sometimes i cant believe i was marked as the best response but sometimes i just think maybe we both think the same that is why i was marked as the best response. people who demand fairly is the one who cant believe that after all we response on a certain discussion it was not the BR after all.

Do you know that sometimes people just mark the best responses for their friends only? And this is why I say it's unfair. Actually I also marked the best response although the opinion is different from mine. As long as I think it's reasonable and explain it well, they deserve it. I remember when I talked about my son's first day to go to the kindergarten, you gave me a very good suggestion in that disucssion. Although I think others' responses are good, too. But yours is the best in that disucssion:)

No, not at all. In fact its hard to rate a best response at all since its very subjective and varies from person to person. What seems to be the best or most interesting may not seem to be the case for another person. And no, I am not expecting this to be the best response either :)

Yes.... Just like you said, different people will have different opinions. So it would be difficult to know if your reply would be a "best response" for the particular person. If the best response are marked, I would presumed that they are marked the same way throughout all the posts as even the "official" people at myLot would not and should be able to determine which responses are the so called "best".
