How Patriotic Are You Today?

Today is July 4th and many people are showing their colors; that is red, white and blue. We are going to a party with some friends and I am wearing a red t-shirt, blue jeans and white flip-flops. I also have my American flag up, but it's displayed all year long. Just how patriotic are you today? Will you wear the colors of our country and celebrate or is it just another day for you? Some people feel that our country is struggling right now with our popularity due to the current government and the war in Iraq. I'm not enthralled with either, but I am still proud to be an American and happy to celebrate our country's birthday. I also want to instill that pride in my children and be thankful that they live in a country where their rights to freedom of speech are protected, even here on Mylot. So how will you celebrate today and do you feel proud to be an American?

We always dress in red, white and blue on the 4th! In fact, we usually get the flag tee's from Old Navy, but we didn't get up there to get them this year. My little guy will be in red, white and blue, too!

I do remember getting those Old Navy shirts when my kids were little. They were a great buy and they looked so cute in them. It's nice to know that they still offer them this time of year. Thanks!

We wear red. white and blue and have the flag up on our mailbox. We just stay home and hubby likes to rest when he is off and may go out to watch the fireworks tonight. Have a great fourth of July.

I never do the color thing for any holiday. Red on v-day, red and green at christmas, red, white and blue for july 4th..etc. Except I do wear Green on St. Patricks day, mostly because I am Irish and I don't wanna get pinched. The declaration of Independence was celebrating freedom. Even with bad things going on in the world, we're still a free country and that's what should be remembered.
