Where do you think life came from?

Life - Where do you think life came from?

People seem to be mostly concerned with the after life. Do you have any thoughts on where life came from to begin with? The earth was once a melting pot composed of inorganic matter. Suddenly microscopic organisms possessing life were somehow formed that later turned into animals and people. Do you have your opinion how life started and do you care as much as what happens after you die?The more I study science, the harder it gets to have faith. The bible states the earth is a few thousand years old whereas we have evidence dinnasours were here millions of years ago and there is no mention of them in the bible. So it gets hard to picture that God suddenly created people and animals out of the blue. Any thoughts on this?

Difficult to answer your tricky question for a lay man like me. Scientists can better tell about it. It is true that God creates life.

Nobody knows exactly. There are theories and conjectures. Religions, philosophers and scientists have different things to say. An average person has been left puzzled. Everyone believes that his religion, his philosophy or his beliefs are correct. There are only guesses. Whatever the source, it will be too much to keep on thinking about that. That is a riddle which an ordinary human being cananot solve. Better to live the life to its fullest and forget everything else.

Your are correct asahibza, there are numerous answers to this and all made fit into their own logics.. My opinion is one cannot find an answer to this.. Becoz, each question you ask for, it will lead to another question... just as which came first on earth... egg or hen...

I am a science student so i can try to explain how these have happened. theory 1 according to bible, god has made thw world in six days. first day he made the heavens and the earth second day he separated the sky from the water. third day he made dry lands and plants fourth day he formed the sun, moon and stars fifth day he made birds and ishes sixth day he formed land animals and humans. theory 2 life originated from nonliving organisms theory 3 life on earth came from some other heavenly body from meteorites but these theories lacked scientific evidences,so it was not accepted. theory 4 life started from first evolving blue green algae which for the first time evolved oxygen in this world and then continued the organisms eolution.

Well friend, it is a very difficult question and a common person cannot answer these questions. If someone really comes to know all these then he becomes closer to God. In my opinion, human beings came into existence only through God. If God wasnt there then how come this universe or space came into existence?

I learned in a catholic school that the Church no longer believe in the Genesis as factual or literal story, but as metaphore of the relationship between human being and good/bad acting (free will). What you say about the origin of life is what is called in science the Oparin Theory. I thought you would find amazing that other religions have other "orogenias" (the story that teaches about the origin or the universe and the origin of life) and some of them are much more in a scientific line. Here is the Dahomeyan-Yoruba story for the begining of the world, dating at least from the 16th century, perhaps from milleniums ago. "At the begining there was just a big void, then the Creator appeared and created time and space, then the earth covered by fire and lava, until the Godess of waters appeared and turned the fire off with water, creating the seas. After this, the God of Earth and evolution emerged from the seas, He was the son of the Godess of lava. The Godess of waters was in love with him. In her sein, she created a mysterious life, that then became a conch who talked and said everything (that is why thoose folks use conchs for devination). Then the conch became a fish, then an amphibian that decided to come to earth. And so the evolution goes on thanks to the relationship between this two gods (Earth and Water)." This story has different versions, some of them not so accurated. I skiped the names of the gods and that to make it simpler. You have there the Big Bang, the Oparin theory, and Darwin's theory, and also some correct geology information. This beliefs are nowadays in some Benin, Nigerian and Afro-American traditions, specially in Santeria.

Biblically speaking, life came from the sand. That is how Adam born to exist as the first human being on earth.

Have you ever searched the books relating to creation of life. The entire lot will go beyond the world's shelves can contain. The BIBLE and other religious texts like GEETA are not meant for describing the process of creation in its minute detail. The very objective of those books are to make humans lead a moral life. Both in the BIBLE and GEETA you can find that which pertain to the time line. Both books deliberate on time taken by GOD to make creation and how it appears to man. That which is one day for GOD is like 1000 days for man[2nd letter of St.Peter Ch.3 V.8].The first book of the BIBLE,GENESIS, starts with the creation of time,if you have studied the theory of relativity of Albert Einstien you might know that there was a time when there was no time. Can you imagine a situation in which there is no space and time. The BIBLE deal with it.Then starts the creation of world. It perfectly match with the geological timescale. As I told you earlier the religious texts are not a thesis on origin of life. All that are left to man.The BIBLE says man is the culmination of creation. If the theory of evolution propounded by Darwin is to be strictly followed why there is no further development from man while keeping in mind the time taken for the evolution of a new species.LIkewise in Bhagavat Geeta also you can find the law of conservation of energy and matter which opens the subject for further examination

this is such a hypothetical question. well i believe in God and for such, i believe life came from him. all things belong to him. so this is just borrowed. so treasure it to the fullest and oneday we are going to return it. i hope that its not so rotten and we live life according to god's plan.

Nothing can happen somehow. Creation cant be the result of an accidental occurrence. The Universe is too planned, too intelligent, too self-sustaining, too methodical, too rational, too scientific to have somehow or accidentally come into Being. The only plausible answer is that God the supremely powerful, the supremely knowledgeable created it. It is stated in Hinduism that God is the Highest form of energy and CONSCIOUS ENERGY just like you and me are conscious energy residing in our bodies. Or let Science prove that matter can be created from thin air , from absolutely nothing till the God is the only answer.
