I have always found dragons to be so special and mystical. I just love them even though they are quite fearsome. I think that my love of dragons attracted me to the Spyro the Dragon game on Playstation. I used to play alone for a long time. Then my sister and her boyfriend discovered it and we just got together often to play the game. They followed up with two more games in the series, and it just got better and better. I really miss playing that game with them.

Funny how you mentioned Spyro because my son loves Spyro. We bought a used copy from EBGames last year and have recently traded it up for other games. That was one game my son couldn't stop playing. I on the other hand don't have the patience to go around collecting things LOL I do like the graphics though!
Did you ever see the movie Eragon? I thought Saphira the dragon was beautiful :)

My sister has all 3 in the Spyro series. I passed mine on to my great-grandson, but I am thinking about getting it back since his mom won't play with him. He is 3. I have heard much about Eragon from the time the book came out. I almost bought it. I will have to see the movie soon. Thanks for the recommendation.

I have a copy of the book if you want it. It was given to me by a neighbor (looks new too) and because I have already seen the movie, I never got a chance to sit down and actually read it, and probably won't! I don't mind giving it to someone who wants it? So if you want it, pm me your address and I will mail it this Friday when I am at the Post Office, free of charge :)

Thanks for your response, abiesm. I agree that dragons are very mysterious, and I often wonder if they are completely imaginary.

From my experience with Dragons it is hard for me to think of them as anything other than big, stinky, clumsy, scaly, loud, overbearing oafs. No insults intended towards actual oafs.
They make terrible neighbors and are alwasy setting things on fire. I am sick of hearing them brag about the whole "We are the greatest of all the anchient mystical creatures" thing. Now your telling me they have a video game too! What's next collectible figurines, children's folk songs, movies, books and a one hour interview in Larry King!!!

Hi Aurone. I really enjoyed playing those games. I am interested in all things Celtic. Maybe you could send me some info. I know a little about Celtic myth and legend. I find the subject fascinating.

As a matter of fact, pyewacket, I have. Since Fantasy is one of my favorite genres, I have read quite a lot about them. The latest that I read was in the Nora Roberts trilogy-the latest one. Darn it, I was going to give you the name of them, but it seems that my daughter selected those books the last time she came over and took them home with her. You can check out her website though. In this trilogy she has time travel, a witch, a sorcerer, a Celtic goddess, lots of entertaining stuff.

I've always been fascinated by dragons with dinosaurs not far behind. My 7 yr. old son has really been into the dragons and dinosaurs also. We were surprised when we found out that he was born in the year of the dragon. I think we have had every dragon movie ever made and he was so excited when the new movie Eragon came out. I think we have seen it now 20 times!

no i don't like dragons. my fairy-tale days has me so conditioned to fear it. although i now know that they're not real, i still am not mystified by them. for me dragons are just prehistoric animals that spew fire. harry potter may have elevated its charm to higher levels but, i still see them as just dragons - animals to be feared about.

I like dragons too, even though my favourite mythological animals are hippogriffs and griffins. Dragons have this... air about them, you know? Some of them looks powerful, others beautiful or wise... or all at once.
The Spyro games for Playstation were very good. I've replayed them so many times that I've gotten tired of them.
