When we talk at meals, it can be about anything at all. When I was young and at home with my parents, it was usually about what I had done at school or how my lessons were coming along etc. Now it's a little bit about work or about how nice the food is or what we are going to do later or at the weekend.
I feel that talking at mealtimes needs to be light and friendly, nothing too serious or that will cause worry and this can effect the digestive system. :-)

Interesting. I hadn't thought about the stress factor during conversation. I have to agree, though, as when I was growing up it was quite common for an arguement to break out during meal conversations. Thanks for sharing!

Yes, we always talk, when we ate dinner. For the breadfast and lunch, we didn't talk that we just do very quick and go to work.

Thanks for sharing...in our house, it used to be breakfast where the most conversation happened.
