I agree with ciniful, organised religion can be very dangerous while personal belief can be a source of strenght and comfort.
Personally I'm somewhere between an agnostic and a pagan. I believe that if there is a force greater than us, that force is there to help us help ourselves, not perform miracles.
I'm also a bit interested in the shinto belief that everything has a spirit.

Doesnt make you bad at all think its great people have different ideas world would be prety boring if everyone agreed about everything

There is absolutely nothing wrong with personal beliefs. Everyone believes in something .... even if it isn't religious or supernatural in nature. *shrug*
I'm an atheist, so no, I have no religious beliefs, but I have plenty of beliefs that supercede those. I believe in the capacity for human kindness. I believe in compassion and empathy. I believe in sustaining family connections and friendships. I believe in myself. Others, like yourself, have beliefs that go outside those and pertain to the supernatural ... religion in this case. It doesn't make you any different than me.
I have the utmost respect for a persons individual beliefs. I have zero respect for organized religion .. but personal beliefs should be protected and respected, the same way I would like others, such as the fundamentalist believers, to respect my lack of those particular beliefs.

I was abit of a atheist myself, and the things you belive in so do I, I just belive in a supernatural force for the smae reson I belive in Aliens, I think it makes it alot more intresting that way, and hey no one has proved them not to exist.
I as you think that everyone should be allowed to belive what they like as long as it does not hurt anyone else.
And fundamentalist is the reson I am very glad I am not religious, Narrowmindedness is one thing I don't like.

Of course this does not make for a Bad person.
If it brings you comfort , then it is a good thing. You should not be judged by anyone , on what you believe , how you believe , and why you believe in it.
I am always happy to meet someone , whom has found something
which enriches their life to the extent of complete happiness. That means....there is hope in the world , and that's really all there is in the world ...is hope.
Your Bliss gives hope to others...Thank you !

I think it is oke to believe different. But I know one thing, you can not believe in God and Allah in the same time, these two gods are not the same. If one god is different from another you can not believe the same time in the other. In the bible is a part saying in the 10 commandments that God is only accepting the believe in one god. But this is my opinion (and the bible I think also), what you want to believe, you must know. I respect your believe.

It is perfectly ok to have your own belief. I too believe like millions on this earth and you that there is a supernatural force which has created this universe and controls it. Some call it God, some Allah, some something else. It hardly matters. A rose would be the same whether we call it gulab in Hindi or something else in some other language. Love you dear meatballsurgey ( But this name is not a good one can you get a better sounding one please)

I'm glad you believe in a supernatural force.
You are lucky because so many questions you may have can be answered that way. We all like to get answers to questions - it makes life easier.

I don't believe on such things as that, but that doesn't mean I don't respect the person/people who believes it.
We have lots of beliefs here in my country, be it supernatural or religious. I was raised as catholic, but later did I realized that some from our religion are made of superstitious beliefs. That got me wondering, and searched for the truth, up until now..
But I believe that beliefs are made for a person to behave accordingly to his community, to control individuals inhibiting or stimulating them into a behavior acceptable to the group. As beliefs are served to promote social cohesiveness..

religion is very important to a man's life, the meaning of this is to reunite with God or create a tie with God, There are some religion preachers command you to kill their enemies, i dont want to tell this, but i know some people knows this, that there are members that really killed people just to protect their wrong beliefs, which is against in the will of God, to kill. some of the religious ministers teach members to liquidate their enemies, so its true that there are some religion instead of you to became a Good person you make even worse you will turn into an evil man. so be careful to choose a religion.

I don't have a problem with anyone's beliefs. I simply judge people based on how they treat each other and the world around them. I have friends and loved ones with many beliefs and with none, and I've enjoyed learning from them about their beliefs.
I do have very strong personal religious beliefs of my own, and I feel I have a personal relationship with the deities that I follow. However, I also do not believe that my Gods are necessarily the only ones that exist, nor that everyone in the world needs to follow them with me. In fact, I pretty much equate having different religious beliefs as being just as normal as having different friends and families.
I refer to my personal religion as Celtic Reconstructionist Paganism. =)

beliefs are just to make a person perfect.. If you believe that ghosts exist you won't move out lonely at late nights.. if you believe in God you would have a mentality that if we do sins,it will be accounted during the judgement day.. So i point that if you believe in yourself to be perfect you will succeed....
