It doesn't matter. MY concern is whatever our law makers do to out laws, implement! after all that's the reason why they make up laws.

yes i do agree to charter change, but in order for it to be effective (the new constitution) everybody must change completely. Lets forget about the past and start a new beginning, let's unite to make a better Philippines. Lets make it a point na "WALANG TAMAD NA PILIPINO, everybody should work together for GOOD.

a charter change would be good, alright, but before that, what this country needs is major character change.

Yes, but not during this administration. The 1986 Provisional Constitution was rushly made to give legality to the Presidency of Cory then Cory handpicked some people to make the present 1986 Philippine Constitution just to erase any memory of Marcos. It was also done in haste and there are mistakes and so we are living under a Constitution that is not good. And so the now Philippine Constitution must be changed but not during the incumbency of GMA because the atmosphere is not good, too much politics and vested interests personal in nature. The election of GMA as President is in question then the landslide victory of the opposition during the last senatorial elections proves that the people do not like GMA.

Yes, I do agree that our constitution really needs some revisions or ammendments. But I would say that we have to ammend it the right way and the ammendments should be fully debated upon. One, I think we have to change the system from presidential to a good form of parliamentary. I said a good form because I envisioned a unicameral body but not patterned after the lower congress. And if ever the Senate will continue, the election of senators should be regionalized. These two ammendments will save us billions of wasted money on election period. Why does it have to cost millions to serve the nation?
On the economic matters, I believe that there are some ammendments that should really be made also.
Maybe the right time is after 2010.

I agree to their effort to change the constitution. Let us accept the fact that it got so many flaws on it that needs to be change. But trouble with our politicians: they will first change the constitution to make them stay in office with out an election. We just cannot trust them.
