Why do bullies pick on nerds or people that are quiet?

Two words: Easy Target. People who bully statistically are people who come from bad situations, and violence and hatred were examples set for them ... or they are those suffering low self esteem and self confidence, and project those onto others in an attempt to feel superior. In either case, they'll choose the easiest target to bully. They don't want to have a fight on their hands ... they want a quick, easy route.

i duno maybe there jelous cause they know when there older they,ll be working for the nerds.

Because their idiots and want others to think they are cool by bullying others? I don't know why bullies do that. Just because one is smart, quiet and "not out there" doesn't give anyone the right to bully them. I tell ya though, smart, quiet and introverted men make good husbands. I am married to one of them! LOL

Maybe because Nerds don't know how to defend themselves. Since they are weak and unable to defend themselves very well, Bullies can do whatever they want with the Nerds. I think it's funny to watch, and that's the main reason for the bullies to do it. They like to be the funny guys. The problem is when you are the target, I think!

I think that they do it for fun. Or just to make their friends laugh to make themselves feel better. It must contract from an insecurity, or something thats happend to them before. They pick on them because they know they won't do anything back. Weak target I suppose.
