Google has invaded my computer

With the new google desktop and it's handy features I have allowed google to invade my computer. Well, google desktop is really cool and useful with the ability to index my files pretty much like how its spider does to index websites.
Problem though is how it handles my private data.
It eats ram too so I need to upgrade my 256mb RAM..
anyone else using it?
