Do you have to get 2 responses to a discussion to get credit for it?

Do you? Because it seems that way to me....I don't know sometimes I feel like I won't get credit for a discussion I start at all, even after it has gotten a response.

I think it might depend on the response you received. If it's lengthy or detailed you might earn a penny or two.. while if it's just a one liner, you might not receive much credit for it.
It's why I usually just stick to responding to others since that way I'm in charge of how much I make and I'm not depending on someone else on my earnings. I find that I make a lot more when I just reply to discussions instead of making my own, though I'm sure it's all relative - there's some people that get more than 50 or even 100 replies! I'm sure they get a whooole lot more in that one discussion, than me replying to 30-40 of them.
