this has been an issue in socity for a long time so do you believe smacking your children for bad behaviour really helps them in the long run? personally I dont believe smacking is right I do not make sense of giving bad behaviour to treat bad behaviour are you not doing what you are punishing by using violence against a child? but this is what i believe what do you think?

Smacking is okay if the parent doesn't do it too often, and doesn't hit the child's head too hard.
My mother used to smack me when I did something wrong and did so till I was about 10 or 11 years old. Without a few good, resounding smacks, I would never have gotten it into my head that some of the things I did were plain naughty. Of course it must only be done when the child does something to deserve it....because after that, everytime the kid is about to misbehave he knows what the punishment is, and if he misbehaves he knows what's going to happen and he also knows he deserved it.
