child hood sweethearts doe it last?

i am jsut wonderiong whether this type of relationship really last... some say yes but others would disagree why?

Some childhood sweethearts do last but I reckon one out of ten maybe. In todays world where people are more liberated people just don't stick to one companion. I believe it sometime does happen but not most often.

I have known of a few people who were married for 20, 30, years or more and were childhood sweethearts. The majority though do not stay with that first person they loves/or thought they loved.
