Do You Use A Laptop Or Desktop When Working On Mylot?

I use a desktop and I sit at my desk. Sometimes I get restless and I want to go and relax on my bed while I am typing, but that is not going to happen. I like sitting at my desk most of the time, because I feel like I am in an office doing something very important, but at times like this, when I have been on almost all day, I want to relax with a laptop.

I use a laptop. I do find it more easier to use because you can take it with you wherever you go like in the bedroom, on the verandah, at starbucks etc. It's easy to carry and lug around too LOL

This is the details I got from the properties menu. 2.00 GHz 766 MB 32 bit operating system so I am assuming that it stores quite a bit. I only use it to store pictures, download music and burn cds, sometimes playing the odd online game. It currently runs Vista which I am not too fond of. I preferred Windows XP.

Someone told me that the desktop holds more information. Does the laptop hold enough for you? I don't have a whole lot of files, just mainly a lot of pictures.

Thank you for the information. You know, I have heard that a lot of people are not happy with the Vista program. I am always hesitant to try new things. The only one I have ever used is XP. Hopefully, if enough people speak up, they will give refunds or whatever and then continue to support XP. But, I figure that they will just continue to improve Vista.

I use both of them. Sometimes I like to turn on my desktop and sometimes I prefer to use laptop. It depends on. Lately I may use laptop work in Mylot much more as it's fast. My desktop seems a little slow. Maybe I need to reinstall the operation system again.

I know that the keys on the laptop keyboard are much more sensitive than the ones one the desktop. Is it a major or subtle difference? I am just getting my typing speed up and I tend to press down pretty hard on the desktop keyboard, a laptop make drive me crazy. Other than your laptop being faster and portable, which do you think is better over all or are these the only major differnces? Sorry for asking so many questions, you don't have to answer if you don't want. I just got carried away,LOL.

In fact I like the keyboard of my desktop. It's better. My laptop keyboard and the mouse are sensitve. My desktop is old, and it has smaller ROM. But my laptop is 1GB ROM. So it runs so well.

I only have a desktop computer, so that's what I use. =p There have been several times in the past when I have considered buying a laptop, for the convenience, but ultimately I think they aren't good for klutzes like me. I know way too many careful people that have broken their laptops, so I can't imagine what someone like me would do to one! =p My computer sits in my living room, and while I'm on the computer I can also watch television. I also often post to mylot in between playing with my one-year-old son, or while watching him play. =)

Thank you so much for that information. I too am very clumsy and I would probably break mine the first month of having it. I had not thought of that.

I use my desk top. My laptop I have not used becuse the wireless connection does not work and I have not bought a new one. I like coming into our spare room and turning on the country/western music and typing way.

You can listen to music while you type? Oh how I wish I could do that. If I tried that, I would be singing along and pretty soon I would be typing the lyrics and no body would want to be my friend any more. This gives me an idea though. Maybe I will start listening to Kenny G when I am typing. Even though of the music has lyrics, I can take a little break when they come on. Thanks, you gave me a cool idea.

You say that they both cause you to have a backache? You must not have the keyboard at the correct level for typing. I sit in a computer chair at a desk and my back never hurts. Do you lean over and type?

I use a laptop PC. I had a desktop for many years and when it came time to replace it, I got a laptop. I dearly love working on a laptop. It affords me more desk space and can go with me wherever I go! Like you mentioned, I love to go and sit in my bed or out on my deck with my laptop. (I have wireless internet too...which I love!)

I use a desktop when working on mylot. I get to sit in a comfy desk chair that rolls around why I mylot. It is more comfortable working on a desktop in the comfort of your home. But they both have their pros and cons.

I use a desktop. I sit at our computer desk in an uncomfortable desk chair. Blah. I wish I had a laptop too, but I doubt that will happen anytime soon.:)

I use a laptop for both my personal and official works. My company has given me a laptop at office. I also have a personal laptop which I use for my personal reasons. As you said, using laptop instead of a desktop feels more comfortable when you want to relax at times.

Laptop. I still use the lap top as if I am using a desktop. Honestly, I still prefer desktop because its bigger and I feel more secure. Not so easily broken. hahaha...

actually I use for work on mylot a desktop computer because I don't have a laptop. usually I use desktop computer at home. If I would have a laptop, I would like to have a dell laptop computer. I have checked today and they have very good laptop to a reasonable price. then I would have a desktop computer with Ubuntu and I would have a laptop computer with vista. but I don't like much the touch pad on a laptop because it is hard to move the pointer. I would like have a usb optical mouse. I hope have enough money to buy a laptop.
