What do you prefer and what do you use? and why? What are your views regarding this because i'm planning of applying for a credit card but i'm not sure if it'll be a right move.

If you are just starting out using credit cards, try using a prepaid credit card from Visa or Mastercard. They are welcome every place the other cards are. The only difference is that you have to preload the card with cash at time of purchase and reload with cash to keep the card active, but when you make a purchase that purchase is paid for, you don't have the monthly bill to pay at the end of the month. Try it and see if you like it. A credit card that is not preloaded can very quickly get you into a debt load that you will need help to get out of. I only use my regular credit card if I absolutely have to for an emergency otherwise it stays in the billfold and the prepaid one gets used.

If it's a prepaid card, then that means it's just the same with regular savings atm card, am i right? or what could be the difference. Anyway. i'm thankful for your advice and for sharing that information. I'm not really familiar with bank cards so your response really helps.

Credit card has a yearly subscription fees that I don't like. Debit card also has a subscription fee but much lower than the credit card. Cash in much easier but for some purposes such as doing an online transaction which need the use of a credit or debit card, I would choose the debit card.

I think you should think about applying a debit card because in this way you would never have any credits to pay in the future. You only spend when you have money. However, it depends on your intention, whether you want to use it for online transaction or because you want some extra cash in hand.

If I were you, I will stay away from credit cards. It entices you to spend more without cash on your hands until you accummulate a huge debt that you cannot pay anymore. There are ATM/banks that actually lets you pay with your atm card, with out carrying so much cash. That's better than credit card. You only spend an amount which does not exceed your income. Spend only a portion of your income and a portion for savings.

I agree with the previous posters. I usually stick to cash or use my debit card, so I won't get any nasty surprises at the end of the month.
