Well, I think a lot of people would consider me old, though I don't think I am. I generally like people around my own age, but I wouldn't turn someone down who was as much as 20 years older than me. The age difference is not a big deal, I feel, once you're in your mid to late 30s. Usually, by then, you have "been around the block" a few times and know who's compatible and who isn't. You also know yourself better after 30, too. So, yes, I can love an "old man".

I do not think that its really love between an elderly man or woman and someone thirty or forty years younger. I lived through my parents marriage and my dad was thirty years my mom's senior;in fact her dad,my grandpa, was only two years older than my father. Myfather treated my mom like a not very bright daughter, his love was more like that of a dad, and she endured his nasty verbal abuse for as long as my dad lived. I used to tell her to fight back but she never did. she loved him but was it love for a mate or love for afather figure. I just know that very rarely do these so called love affairs actually make happy marriages. love someone your own age and you will be much happier.
