For those of you who have answered a few of my discussions and for some of the discussions I have answered concerning child molestation, I thought I would share the fact that after over a year, my father-in-law is pleading guilty, and will be going to prison. Hopefully, life will get back to normal, or as normal as it can be after all of this. We go to court on the 11th. I'm hoping this will give some closure to my step-daughter, who he molested. He will get 20 years with no chance of parole. At the age of 58, I'm hoping he won't live to see the outside again. He would have gotten 60 years if it went to trial and he was found guilty. Have you had a family member go to jail or prison?

Many people don't know this, but my father was in jail for 5 years. I really don't know what he did, but I was told it was for beating someone. It's scary to think that anyone in a family can go to prison, but I am sorry that your father-in-law did such a thing, it has to feel horrible all at once. I hope that whatever happens it will bring closure. I wish you all the best. I will keep you in my prayers.

Thank you for the prayers. Hopefully, now, the family will be able to heal, and our daughter can get some closure.

I had an uncle once who went to jail. He was drunk and was disturbing the peace at a neighborhood, he was sent to jail overnight.
It's really difficult for a family to go through a loved one going to jail. How much more for those who's relatives really went in for a huge misconduct like raping someone or killing someone. That's really tough.
I pray for those who are suffering and confused due to such circumstances.
Anyways, here's a joke to keep things lighter:
I took my high school government class on a field trip to the county jail. Near the end of the tour, we passed through the prison's recreation room. There I spotted two board games sitting on a table, selections that I thought were particularly appropriate to a correctional facility: Life and Sorry.
