Who do you think will win if they played against each other now?
I think it'll be Federer. He is at it's peak righ now.
What do you people think??

Wasn't if Federer who stopped Sampras' winning streak at Wimbledon? Sampras won again after that but I think he lost to Federer in the quarters or something to stop a long streak. Yes, Federer probably would but it would be apples and oranges. It would be very close if they were both at their prime.

Sampras is way better than Federer !
Federer is winning because there isnt a good tenis player to compete with him !
On Sampras decade, there was other good tenis players !

Hi there.. They recently had contest against each other for a game of three.. While the first two matches were won by Federer and wrapped up the contest, the last one went to Sampras and that was no small feat.. That was almost winning the contest itself... They r both gr8 players...

No need to speculate, they have played (in exhibition, SEOUL, South Korea), and Federer has won. That's because obviously Federer is young and at his peak or nearing it, while Sampras aka Pistol Pete has been away from the game and is not at his peak. If we could turn back time and see them both play at their peak, that would be something magnificent to watch. They both are brilliant players who use not only skill and strength but also their minds to out-think their opponents. It is a bit sad that each of them (in their peak time), don't/didn't have enough opponents (especially Sampras) to challenge their supremacy. They will meet again in Kuala Lumpur and then they have a final get together in Macau. I think most likely Federer will win but perhaps Pistol Pete will surprise us and eke out a win, because he certainly has a wealth of experience behind him, if not the physical strength or fitness to match Federer. Should be fascinating to watch. I wish I could watch them together.

It is Federer. I hope Federer will one day break Pete Sampras' record of 7 Wimbledon championships. He can even make them 7 in a row.
