Some of people like watching movies at home, because it is very convenient and you can choose any films you like....but I think most of people prefer to cinema....the environment is perfect and you will feel very good... What about you...... Do you prefer home or cinema?

I used to love to go to the movie theater with my kids but then one bad experience has led me to stay home and wait fro the movie of choice to come out on dvd! When my second daughter was born the movie “the Ring” had just hit theaters, I wanted so much to go and see it, so then I took my oldest son and 5 month old daughter to go and watch it. She was cranky from the moment we got there, so then I decided to sit in the back area so that other movie goers wouldn’t notice the crying. But then suddenly there was one guy who kept yelling back at us! He kept saying things, like this is no place for a baby! Take your baby outside! Can you please give her a bottle so that she can be quite! Needless to say I was in shock! I couldn’t imagine someone being so rude, because I am not like that! I grabbed my kids and walked out of the theater about only fifteen minutes of the movie! I felt really bad! I don’t know why people can be so rude and lack compassion! Since then I have had another little one join my family, so I can’t go to the movies just yet…lol…we just wait for the movie to come out on dvd and I take them to rent the ones of their choice. Granted it isn’t the same experience but I really don’t want to go though a bad feeling like that again! Hopefully by the time she is two, I can take them all to see a movie of their choice, without some rude person making comments about my family!

i am very sorry to hear such a bad experience.and i think that when your baby are more than ten or fifteen years,it is ok for you to go to the theater together.also i think that your babies will love you more if you do that.hehe.

Since cheap things like popcorn and watered down pop is sooo expensive for a family to enjoy a trip to the cinema we usually just pop our own popcorn for pennies and share a 3 liter for under a dollar and pop in netflix that we can get for 24 a month and 4 movies times 5 times month or more we sure can get our monies worth. Also since we have cable now we find new things to watch on the television all the time as well as some old favorites. Would like to go out to the cinema more but it is not in our budget.

It has been soooo many years that I have not been to the cinema for any movies. One reason is that the ticket price is high, the other is that it is not so comfortable there with so many people. I don't think the air is good enough there. What's more important is the convenience that the Internet has brought us users to enable us to watch movies online at home without stepping out to the cinema. What is your preference, Tracy? Have you been to the cinema lately?

i haven't gone to the cinema for a long time the same as you,i went to some small cinemas before and i think the air there were very uncomfortable.so i think that if i decide to go to the cinema, i will choose some great ones although the ticket price is high.

I prefer watching films at home because you ran always pause the movie, to get up and stretch, get a snack, etc. Plus, since my favorite genre is horror, I much rather prefer screaming and hiding my eyes in my own living room versus in a theatre with strangers around me.

i really agree with what you have said, everyone wants to be free in each situation, and in private place.so see a movie at home is quite a good choice.

Tracy1985 at this day and age of modern living, i would prefer to watch at the comfort of my home. Although sometimes it would be cool to watch on a cinema, but if you have the DOLBY DIGITAL SORROUND SYSTEM at home its like your on the cinema, with less people of course (lol)but with more popcorn and more drinks (lol) maybe it would be cool if i can take you out to watch a movie, only then will i watch in a cinema :)

it depends on the movie. if it was transformer or anything that is in the action and adventure genre, i prefer watching it in the cinema coz of the big screen and the heart-thumping sound system. ^__^ if it was drama or love-story comedy or anything that is mellow, i'd settle in our dvd player. ^__^

Me , both, when there are new movie and people says it is worth watching on the big screen, i watch it. I like to listen to recommendations anyway. and if the my favorite actor is staring i will watched it on big screen. What i watched at home are the movies i missed watching in cinema's.

I would much rather watch a movie at home rather than go out to a movie theater. I don't like being in a room full of people talking, yelling, and making calls on their cell phones while the movie is playing. A lot of movie theaters are dirty places with snacks and drinks that are overpriced. My home is clean, quiet, and free of tall people who will block my view of the screen.

I like to do both if I have enough money to go out and see a show that would be great but the prices are so high so we rent a movie instead.

I like to watch movies at home. I just like being in the comfort of my own home when watching movies. When at home, you can just curl up in the sofa with a blanket with any kind of snacks by your side. I have a big wide screen t.v. with surround sound, so it does kind of feel like watching a movie at the cinema.

I guess it depends on the type of movie, there are some that are better to watch at the cinema cause you would probably love to see the action on big screen like "300" while others are better to just sit at home and watch with family
