I hate to hear the stories of abuse and negilence in these homes. You would hope that when you put a loved one in the care of another that they would recieve the care they needed, but thats not what always happens. Are there ways to monitor the care? How can you be sure its the right decision to put the loved one in the home?

Sometimes people aren't able to keep up with taking care of another person that is why they have nursing homes.. Yes some of these places are unreal, the stories are sad and hurtful and i think these people who do care for these older people should take much better care of them one day it will be them being treated this way..
Though It does get to be a bit much after awhile.. I still remember when my grandmother was really sick and she needed to be cared for she had cancer. My mom's oldest sister wanted to put her in a nursing home but my mom refused to let that happened.. My mom spent day and night with her to keep her company and give her medication. It was alot on my mom mainly with 5 kids and taking care of her own mom.. But if it comes to me taking care of my mom when the time comes i know i will i know she was there for us when we were younger and it would be time for us to be there when she needs us.

Right now i cannot keep my loved ones in the nursing home. I think its rude when after they become old or incapable of doing any work keeping them away from us. That sounds rude, i would never let my parents stay under the care of somebody whom i don't know. But for some there might be different situations where they have to keep them away from them, but until and unless we are healthy we must not do that.
