I think whale shark is not eating man. However they are big like a bus, & the mouth are big too. FOr What I had the exp diving in thailand, I has been saw the whale shark in near around 500m. it is big like a small bus, but it is not scary. But friendly too. it is curious about human, it will close to u, look at you but not eating human!

No, whale sharks don't eat people.
They are big and cool looking, though.
You shouldn't have to worry about being eaten unless you are krill or maybe a tiny fish.

I agree with you they will not eat a man but they are very big so it would hurt a person very easy, I think it is better be away from wild animals.

Whale sharks are filter feeders like most whales. It could not eat a human because it has no teeth.

No, it doesn't eat animals at all. It eats plankton, just like real whales! I learned about that when I was a child and thought it was fascinating.

Yes, I love whale sharks! They are beauitful and very friendly! I don't like deep water, and that is where they live, which sucks, because I would love a chance to swim with them. But they are very gentle, docile creatures...nothing like a shark! Their name is def. misleading!:)

Whale sharks are 'filter feeders' meaning they feed on plankton, krill, algae, small squid or small fish. I'm not even sure they would be capable of hurting a human with their mouth, as their teeth are proportionately smaller than their body.
They are actually quite gentle and can be playful with divers. Divers and snorkellers can swim with this giant fish without any risk apart from unintentionally being hit by the shark's large tail fin.
