United States
July 5, 2007 1:13pm CST
If you missed Jericho the first time around then this is your chance to tune in. Friday night on CBS they will be showing the pilot then recapping the following 11 episodes. They will then play the final 12 episodes working up to the midseason come back. For those of you that haven't heard of Jericho, it was basically brought back from the dead. The series was canceled out of the fall line-up in May. This caused an organized uprising from the huge fan base that lead to the largest protest to bring back a television series. CBS received over 20 TONS of nuts, countless emails, snail mail, calls, and faxes and three weeks later brought back one of the best series to hit television in many years. So now is your chance to find out what all the hoopla was about. Please tune into Jericho on CBS Friday, July 6th, trust me, you won't be sorry. You can also check out the following links for more info on this protest http://www.jerichonuts.com http://www.cbs.com (visit the Jericho message boards)

I love jericho and was so peeved when it was cancelled with No warning..... But Unfortunately for us in Australia I don't think they are bringing it back, not as far as I've heard... I'm very disapointed as I never missed an eposode and thought it was a really great show and couldn't wait to see the rest of the new season........

I'm not sure but I bet you can visit http://www.cbs.com/jericho and be able to view the full episodes. I know that is what my husband and I do if we happen to miss an episode. Let me know if that works! Thanks for the response!

You can't watch on cbs.com from outside of the US, unfortunately. Anyone know if there's going to be a DVD release?

My understanding is that Season 1 will be released on DVD sometime in Sept. I sure as we get closer we will hear more about it. So sorry that you can't watch it all online.

Well Friday Jericho was number one in it's time slot which is awesome! I think that Friday night is a better night for it. I, too, was one of the many that signed the petition and sent my share of nuts to CBS.

Regarding the revival of "Jericho." The phrase "Nuts," used in the series Jericho as a refusal of a demand to surrender, is actually an allusion to a real-life incident from World War II. In December of 1944, the 101st Airborne Division and elements of the 4th Armored Division were defending the crossroads town of Bastogne, Belgium, during the Ardennes Counteroffensive, better known as the Battle of the Bulge. A German corps from the Fifth Panzer Army surrounded the town, and the German general sent a messenger under a flag of truce to demand the American garrison's surrender. Brig. Gen. Anthony McAuliffe, the acting division commander, sent the following note: To the German Commander NUTS The American Commander Now, about the series. CBS is bringing it back in mid-season, but here's the thing. They only ordered half a season's worth of episodes, and if the ratings are low, they'll cancel it again.
