There's still pro and con about immigrant in United States, and also people that doesn't agree with US politics or government. But the fact is still a lot of people get inline outside US Embassy to get visa. Or maybe parents that want their children to study in United States. I just want to know what mylotters think about this.

MY question is if we American's are so bad and our government is so bad then why do people want to come here? I have often wondered that very question.
Throughout the years I have seen people from other countries come to the USA and speak out against us. I believe in free speach but if you do not like American's or the USA they I say GO HOME.

Oh I've got one better, they come here to attend our colleges, then complain about our country after they get their diploma. That is a kick as well.

Hi ibluemma!
I still consider the US as a greener land and will have more opportunities to have a better life. Comparing it to my country, I will definitely go to the US Embassy and fall in line to those people waiting to be granted a US visa.
Though we could really watch and see what the global crisis have done to the US economy, I still believe that there's a lot of opportunities particularly for older people to have a decent job and medical insurance, and have a comfortable life.
Have a nice day!

Any country where a person can make their own way is still the land of opportunity. Free elections don't hurt either.
GOD BLESS AMERICA
