Products that you wish came in larger sizes?

On Tuesday I bought a bottle of Hunt's "No Salt Added" tomato ketchup. That version only comes in this really tiny bottle, while of course there are tons of other ketchups in huge sizes. In the past couple of days, I have eaten hash browns and meatloaf, so of course now my ketchup is almost all gone already! I guess next time when I'm at the store I'll have to buy more than one bottle of this stuff, but it just got me started thinking. I'm sure everyone has products they use that they wish were available in larger sizes! For some of us, it might be only in a small size because it's a specialty thing (like the ketchup I need for my low-sodium diet), but I'm sure there are plenty of other everyday products that are just too tiny! So what do you wish came in a larger size?

I can not think of any product I which can be larger. I only thing I crave for is chocolate. I wish I can but alrger size of tolerone or kisses and M&M. I think I can share it with others if they come in as large as my palm. LOL. Do you think it can't melt in my hand? Hehehe. God bless!

*giggles* Mmm... chocolate! How nice of you to share as well if you had a larger size!! I don't know about you, but chocolate never sticks around long enough to melt for me. =p

I wish yogart and jello came in bigger containers. Also I could eat a bag of gummy bears in one setting.

Oh yes, definitely! I mean, they're the size of baby food containers! Sorry, but I can eat more of anything than that! =p For that matter, my 1-year-old can eat a whole pudding cup, so I know it's not a realistic serving for me!

The glass jugs of organic milk only come in up to a 1/2 gallon size. I wish I could get gallon glass jugs here, as heavy as it sounds. I am trying to cut down on my use of plastic milk jugs and go to glass. I'm bummed that gallon glass jugs of organic milk simply are not available here.

That's a very good example, nonew! There are so many ways in which too much packaging is used to have smaller product sizes, and in which we could help the environment by using the right ones, if we could just find them! Thanks for sharing! =)

Yeah. Glass milk bottles are re-usable. You just pay an initial deposit which you get back when you rinse them and return them to the store. If they had it in gallon sizes, it would make it a lot easier, as I go through a lot of milk in recipes and whatnot. I am vegetarian, but I do right now allow for milk and eggs. I am gradually phasing out of stuff like that, though. I've never seen soy milk in glass jars. I wish it came in that, though.

I love peanut butter cups. The big downfall of them is that I only get two or at the most four in one package. I wish that they came in eight in a pack. It is disappointing that I only a few and not several in one package. They go pretty quickly when I snack on them! Maybe I should write a letter to the company, lol. We all wish products come in larger sizes when we love that particular product.

Haha, I always feel disappointed after peanut butter cups are gone too! Especially when my husband and I buy just one package to share, and then I wish I had gotten my own. =p

Pez. My daughter and I absolutely love it but a pack only lasts about 2 minutes with us and we have to open another.

Well, I am thinking of products such as spicy (sugar, pepper, salt, baking powder, ketchup, soy sauce, etc). I also like products that are usually used in our daily life such as toothpaste, towel papers, soaps, shampoo, etc.

*nods* All of those things sound useful to have in larger sizes, especially if you do much cooking!

Thank you for providing us with a good discussion. In this day and age, a lot of people buy in bulk, purchase Super Sized food, and run to the sales of buy one, get one free. So a person wouldn't think that there is actually something that comes in too small of a package. But there are. So my choice of a too small of a product, is one I only use once in a while. It not only comes in a small package, but it is somewhat expensive for a person on a budget. I'm talking about Biore Pore Strips. The idea is to wet this strip, attach it to your nose, and a few minutes later, any impurities that were in your pores, are now on the strip. I think they have one for chins too. I'm fortunate I don't have skin problems, but I would like to use this more often because just walking out and about fills your pores with unwanted stuff. However, those strips are so small, they don't even get your entire nose. In fact, why not make one for the entire face! Yes, that would be great. It would get every nook and cranny on the face. Now that I've gone on and on like a crazy woman, I believe I'll fix some grilled salmon. It shrinks when it is cooked. Maybe I should have said salom instead...

I'm just the opposite. I wish most things would come in smaller sizes. There are just the two of us and half the time I don't care for what my husband likes to eat and vice versa. Since neither of us are good at eating left-overs, I wind up throwing a lot of food out. I really hate to do that, but there isn't much that comes in single size. And when it does it is almost as expensive as the larger portions! It's a no win situation for us.

Oh, I hadn't thought of it that way, susieq! Thanks so much for pointing out a different perspective! My husband and I also have very different tastes, and right now very different restricted diets due to health, so I've had that experience too where we are trying to find things that won't be wasteful to buy for just one of us! So I guess either way you can't win, someone's always going to need the size nobody makes!

Yes, I wish Neosporin, first aid antibiotic cream, came in bigger sizes. With an almost three year old little boy living in my house, I go through quite a lot of it. My husband and I both use it a lot as well. It is incredible stuff.

JellyBelly Jelly Beans!!! There so good but the packages are so small. Maybe that is because they are so expensive $$

Oh I could eat JellyBelly's all day! I look longingly at those bulk sizes they sell on the website, but you are right about them being very expensive!

Shampoo sachets. We have this kind of market here in the Philippines. Filipino are wise buyers so they tend buy minimal and less expensive commercial products like shampoo. They don't prefer of a big bottles.

It doesn't make sense that they'd sell it in a smaller bottle...you'd think they'd at least put it in an average sized one. The stores I shop at sell cheesecakes (I love cheesecake soooo much), but they only sell small ones...It confuses me because they're so much smaller than regular pies or cakes, or even the cheesecakes you'd get at bakeries. I wonder why they only sell the small versions at the stores I go to. Anything other than that...I really wouldn't consume fast enough in order to need a larger than normal size.

You know I've never really thought about that untill you brought it up, good topic! There are some things I wish would come in larger sizes. Some candies, like I think someone else mentioned, the peanut butter cups, or almond joy candy bars, I wish they would just make it one big candy bar and not two little ones. Even though I don't need all that candy, just feels like I'm not eating enough of it I guess, lol. Also Visine! My husband works late hours so he's always having these red eyes from not getting enough sleep so he uses it all the time. It's like 3 or 4.00 just for one little bottle. I wish they made a big ole bottle of it so he could just go through like one once a month or every two months. I guess it's a little annoying how small they are I don't know, lol.

Shrimp! I hate the tiny ones, I drive about 30 miles or more to buy shrimp at this one ethnic food store that are the size of lobsters. I am a meat and potatoes guy and I like both my meat and potatoes large. I would take them any day over all the sweets I could handle.

Bottles of Diet Coke. They should come in a size of at least 5 gallons. It would also be great if they could come up with a keg or something, that the general public could use. I would so be there. I use a big cup and a 2 liter of pop only lasts for 2 rounds. LOL. Salad Dressing. I know the bottle says that a serving size is 2 TBSP, but there's just no way that's actually possible. I can use an entire bottle on like 6 salads. I also use the fat free kind. I've never seen a huge bottle of the kind I like, in a fat free variety. Biore strips. My husband and I use them. One box, if you follow the directions last just over a week, for the both of us. I guess we could just buy 2 boxes, but it would be nice to just have one large size. :o)
