Any good vegetarian recipes out there? Any ideas on what to use when cooking instead of eggs?

It depends, do you eat cheese? There are tons of recipes to use that are vegetarian but use cheese. There are plenty without cheese as well though. I'm a vegetarian but not quite vegan. Have you tried egg substitutes? They work really well! Morning Star actually makes some egg scrambler breakfast dishes, but I haven't tried them yet. The rest of Morning Star products are really good. Check out www.goveg.com. I've found some interesting recipes on there. Also, I found some great recipes on www.seeveggiesdifferently.com. That is the official Morning Star Farm website. :)

Morning Star is my favorite vegetarian brand so far. I have seen the meals with fake eggs in them, but I'm wondering if I wanted to make a cake what would I use instead? I do eat cheese, but I don't drink Milk. I will check out those sites. Thanks!!!

my favorite vegetable menu is the "law oy".. its cooking all leafy vegetables, squash, string beans and etc. only with the use of water, and with the use of lemon grass and small ginger ... no oil, garlic, and any other spices involve..

What is a good substitute for eggs? 2 tbsp corn starch = 1 egg 2 tbsp arrowroot flour = 1 egg 2 tbsp potato starch = 1 egg 1 heaping tbsp soy powder + 2 tbsp water = 1 egg 1 tbsp soy milk powder + 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water = 1 egg. 1 banana = 1 egg in cakes. Homemade egg substitutes are less expensive and just as satisfactory. They also have few calories. Here's a low cholesterol egg substitute recipe: 1 tablespoon of nonfat dry milk powder 2 egg whites from large eggs 4 drops of yellow food color Sprinkle powdered milk over egg whites, then beat them with fork until smooth. Add food color, and beat until blended. This makes 1/4 cup, which is equal to 1 large egg. If you use this homemade substitute for scrambled eggs, cook it in vegetable oil or margarine so the eggs won't be too dry.

yes, there are many substitutes - in cake you can use condensed milk, in certain baked dishes you could use cheese. i have not found a substitute for eggs for puddings. I am a strict vegetarian and I enjoy a variety of dishes and don't miss eggs or meat.
