It depends on what your cravings are. If you go without, lets say, potato chips, altogether, sooner or later, you will want to devour a whole bag and I do not mean the small packages. The key is moderation. If once a week, you have one or two chips, then you will not want them as badly. If you substitute whole grain snacks for white flour snacks, it would be better. So for snacking, if you know that once a week, every two weeks, three weeks, or once a month, you can have something sinfully indulgent you will not crave it as much. So when someone puts a bowl of chips or whatever, you will probably not want any of it or just stop at one or two. Now if you eat more fibre, brown rice instead of white, whole meal bread instead of white, and more fruits and vegetables, you will not be as hungry.
If you work out, walk and run, you can have a few snacks but do not overdue it.

I am not a person who is obsessed with weight loss and health. I think I am very basic. I believe in eating a varieties of different food as best as I can and I don't indulge myself too much in one single item. If I have a chocolate bar today, I would wait for another week to have another one. I don't have much time to exercise really, but I do yoga every weekend, I don't think that would burn off the fat too much but it's good to move around and get a balance of mind. I don't think associating food with pressure (to lose weight and stuff) would be a good thing to the brain and body.

I think the most important thing to do to keep off weight permanently is to just limit the total amount of food eaten. The most effective way I have seen is to only eat when you are actually hungry and then eat only until you are satisfied. Then quit. That means eating slowly so your system realizes you are at the satisfaction point. When you go to a restaurant, most of the portions are way to big. Cut it in half and eat that. You'll notice you've had enough. Take the other half home for lunch the next day. When you feel like eating a snack, make sure you are actually hungry. There is a difference between head hunger and actual hunger. Most of the time we eat snacks because we are bored, or out of habit while watching TV, or just because the snack looks good. It is not that we need food. When you are hungry, eat what your system seems to be craving. Our bodies know what we actually need. If you want dessert, be sure to eat less of the main course so you can eat dessert without being over full. You can even do this at a buffet. Just make sure you don't pig out in order to get your "money's worth."
When we eat more than we need, our system stores it as fat cells. When your stomach growls because you are hungry, that means your system needs nourishment. If it doesn't find any in your stomach, it will begin to use the stored fat cells. That's good. Let your stomach growl a time or two before you eat. It means you are losing some of the fat cells stored up, and that is what we want. It will growl for a few minutes, and then quit for about 45-50 minutes. You'll feel good during that time because your system is taking care of itself and you know it is using up some of those dreaded fat cells.
The key - eat only when you are actually hungry, and then only enough to be satisfied. Sip water or diet sodas during the day. That will help also. Our bodies need fluids to digest food.
Sorry how long this got, but it really works!

I think you should eat foods that is high in fiber. Most of all have a regular exercise but your doctor should know about it before stating any form of exercise. junk foods are not really good. they contain a lot of sodium that can retain fluids in the body.

being fit and staying beautiful really calls one to discipline. it cannot be a little of this and a lot of that. diet is a daily habit and so does exercise. there are times when we cannot avoid indulging on food. however if we have the daily habit of discipline, a once in a while cravings wouldnt hurt much
