i have had 3 motorola phones for the last 4 years and i have learned that you could alter the phone's settings to suit your needs. you can customize your ringtones, skins, themes etc. you could increase the sound, improve video and camera quality. you could also improve the battery with some tweaking.

Yeah, I have a motorola phone too, and you can do modding, seem editing and so on with p2ktools or p2kcommander.
Check out www.modmymoto.com for more guides and tutorials on how to mod your phone.

What kind of motorola phone do you have? Ive had my V3x for about 5 months now, and its giving me HEADACHE!!! The phone always hangs especially when receiving a text message or sometime when receiving a call.
Then, its difficult to reboot, and you have to end up removing the battery to restart the phone. Ive tried taking it to people in greenhills to have the software/firmware changed, it still had the same problem.
I went online to modmymoto.com to get instructions on how to mod the phone, and ended up nearly bricking it! So now, ive just learnt to accept the phone with its flaws.
Other than that, i think it a cool phone plus the added bonus of 3G.
By the way, i might decide to sell it...anyone interested? hehehehe

i also have a v3x. i never had the hang problems. its been with me for about three months now. iv recently done some moddings to it, iv been doing more on my rokr before. im also a member of modmymoto.com, also motomodders.net and maxedmobiles.com. iv added some skins, increased phone sounds, changed fonts, and improved some phone settings. about the hangs on your phone, when do you get those? i havent read on the forums about it hanging as much as your experiencing. did you buy it at greenhills? was the store credible? i bought mine at a good store, i had 1year warranty. if it has warranty then have it changed, if your willing to do so. for me, problems with motorola phones usually are discussed in the forums, if not, then ask the people there, they would respond quickly.

Unfortunately, it doesnt have a warranty, so I cant have it returned. Apparently the guys fixing celfones at greenhills have not heard of modmymoto or other related websites, so their software is not updated. I spoke to some people on modmymoto, and i was told that that hanging problem what the initial bug the v3x had and it has already been fixed. Problem is, when i tried modding it myself, alot of stuff went wrong. i dont know why,but i suspect it could be that the pc im using is not up to the task.(its pretty old!)
